The TMC has announced that cricketer Yusuf Pathan will run in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the Berhampore constituency. The party list was made public on Sunday.

Lok Sabha 2024 TMC candidate list: Cricket player Yusuf Pathan of the Berhampore Lok Sabha constituency (PTI) has been fielded by the TMC.

As to the candidate list provided by Mamata Banerjee's party for all 42 Lok Sabha seats of West Bengal, cricketer Yusuf Pathan will run as a Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from the Berhampore Lok Sabha constituency. Adhir Chowdhury, the Congress leader who has won the seat five times, is thought to have his strongest supporter in the Berhampore seat. He's probably going to run for the seat again this time. Yusuf Pathan became a TMC member.

Abhishek Banerjee, the nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, unveiled the TMC's list of candidates for the general elections on Sunday in Kolkata.

42 TMC candidates are running for the Lok Sabha.
Abhishek Banerjee, the nephew of TMC supremo, will run for office from Diamond Harbour on the TMC ticket. On the other hand, Yusuf Pathan, a former cricket player from India, will run for office from Behrampore. There's a good probability Pathan and Congress heavyweight Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury will engage in a violent struggle.
Amid the Sandeshkhali controversy, the party also removed actress Nussrat Jahan from the list. Furthermore, Kirti Azad, a former leader of the Congress, will contest the election from the Bardhaman-Durgapur constituency. Mohua Moitra has been re-elected for a second time in a row from the seat in Krishnanagar. For the next Lok Sabha elections, fifteen incumbent MPs have been renominated in addition to Moita. Twelve women have entered the race for the party.

The Basirhat Lok Sabha seat, which includes Sandeshkhali, has seen the election of former MP Haji Nurul Islam in lieu of sitting MP Nusrat Jahan. The TMC's massive assembly at Kolkata's Brigade Parada Grounds was where the list was unveiled. Mamata Banerjee declared during her speech at the rally that her party would run a single candidate in each of the state's 42 Lok Sabha seats. In addition, the party would run for office in Meghalaya and Assam, the party supremo declared on Sunday. She also brought up Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP) and stated that her party is in talks with the SP about potentially sharing seats in the 2018 Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections.
