TVF’s beloved series ‘Kota Factory’ is set to return with Season 3 on Netflix on June 20. The cast includes Jitendra Kumar, Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, Ahsaas Channa, Revathi Pillai, and Urvi Singh. New to this season is ‘Monsoon Wedding’ actress Tillotama Shome. In an interview with First Post, Jitendra Kumar and Tillotama Shome shared insights into their characters and personal connections to the show.

Jitendra Kumar’s Connection to Jeetu Bhaiya

Jitendra Kumar, known for his roles in ‘Panchayat’ and ‘Kota Factory,’ discussed his connection to the character of Jeetu Bhaiya, noting that his own educational background at IIT lends authenticity to his portrayal. Despite having taught in real life, Kumar emphasized that his character is quite different from any teacher he has encountered. He reflected on how the teachers he knew entered classrooms like celebrities, teaching large groups of students without forming personal connections. In contrast, Jeetu Bhaiya is a mentor who understands and connects with his students on a deeper level.

Tillotama Shome Joins the Cast

Tillotama Shome, who plays a new character in the series, expressed her excitement about joining the cast. She revealed that her character’s role is to support Jeetu Bhaiya, which she found relieving, as it allowed her to contribute positively to the story. Shome praised the creators for introducing a female teacher into the narrative, highlighting the importance of representing young adults’ futures. She remarked, “We as adults worry so much about the future that we don’t think that the future is represented by the young adults in our lives. If we protect the spirit of the young people, we can have a safer future, and ‘Kota Factory’ has done that when it wasn’t popular or trending.”

Jitendra Kumar’s Journey to Acting

In another interview with the Quint, Jitendra Kumar shared his family’s reaction to his decision to pursue acting. His parents were initially confused and apprehensive about his switch from IIT to acting, making it challenging to assure them of his potential in the film and television industry. Despite their concerns, Kumar continued to follow his passion and now feels fortunate for the opportunities he has received.

With the anticipation building for ‘Kota Factory’ Season 3, fans are eager to see how the characters evolve and how the new dynamics unfold in this much-loved series.
