Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, has vowed to take tough measures against the teenager who immediately killed two people after his luxury automobile collided with a motorbike. In contrast to the horrific incident, Mr. Fadnavis denounced the Juvenile Justice Board's "lenient" penalty for the child, which included a 300-word essay on accidents, 15 days of employment with the traffic police, and alcohol treatment counselling. The Juvenile Justice (JJ) Board is able to provide such an order.

Early on Sunday morning, two IT professionals were struck by a Porsche driven by a 17-year-old who the police believe was intoxicated. The incident happened in the Kalyani Nagar region of the city. According to witnesses, Aneesh was hurled into a parked automobile and Ashwini was launched 20 feet into the air.

"We have filed an appeal against the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Board order with the district court. The people is quite outraged. "I have evaluated the investigative updates received thus far," Mr. Fadnavis stated.
Hours before the crash, the young person—the son of a well-known Pune realtor—was spotted having a drink at a bar with his pals. The bar's proprietors have been taken into custody by the authorities for permitting underage drinking. The legal drinking age in Maharashtra is 25.

According to the authorities, the teenager spent Saturday night with "ten to twelve friends at two restaurants, where they were served alcohol."

"The minor is 17 years and 8 months old and as per the Nirbhaya case, anyone above 16 years old should be considered an adult in cases of heinous crimes," stated the deputy chief minister.

Within fifteen hours of the occurrence, the kid was apprehended but released on bond, which greatly infuriated the people. The Juvenile Justice Act's provisions 75 (willful neglect of a child, or exposing a kid to mental or physical disorders) and 77 (supplying a child with intoxicating liquor or narcotics) have now resulted in the father's arrest.

Along with outlining the government's plans to prevent future occurrences of this kind, Mr. Fadnavis said, "Administration has been alerted to take closure action against those pubs where violations are found and drink driving checks by police on important places."

In addition to sparking an accident, Sanjay Raut, the leader of the Uddhav Thackeray faction, has questioned the Pune Police about the alleged delay in taking action against the youngster.

However, Pune police commissioner Amitesh Kumar has been asserting that, because the crime was so severe, he had asked the board for permission to try the kid as an adult and place him in an observation home. The request was denied. The District Court is now being approached by the police.

Amitesh Kumar challenged the opposition and others to substantiate their claims that the police behaved erratically or were kind towards the juvenile suspect, whose father is a well-known real estate tycoon in the area.

The proprietor of Cosie Bar has been detained by the police for allegedly providing alcohol to a young patron and his companions in violation of the law.

In order to try the teenager as a minor, Mr. Kumar stated that they were assembling a "watertight case" against him. "Despite the blood report coming out negative or positive, we are trying to prove it is a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder," he stated.
