Sunrisers Hyderabad defeats the Mumbai Indians 277/5 to record the highest total in IPL history.
The Sunrisers surpassed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru record, which was set back in 2013 when they scored 263/5 against Pune Warriors India.

On Wednesday, Sunrisers Hyderabad crushed the Mumbai Indians for 277/3, shattering the record for the biggest total in the Indian Premier League.
The Sunrisers surpassed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru record, which was set back in 2013 when they scored 263/5 against Pune Warriors India.
Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, the heroes of the Australian World Cup, went on a rampage, scoring 62 and 63 runs respectively, after Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya sent them to bat first.
Once they were both gone, Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen took control and proceeded to bash the Mumbai bowlers.
When Chris Gayle stepped off during the 2013 match in Bengaluru versus Pune Warriors, it was almost a one-man show. Gayle was the one who carried most of the weight, but there were cameos here and there. The second-highest score was 33, while the Universe Boss crushed 175*.
But SRH went the contemporary path to set the record. Head, Sharma, Markram, and Klaasen all hammered the leather out of the ball, demonstrating true teamwork. Markram's 150.00 strike rate was the lowest of the four.
In their previous IPL match, the Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
SRH made a few changes: Jaydev Unadkat took the place of T Natarajan, who is experiencing discomfort, and Travis Head was brought in for Marco Jansen.
MI made one alteration: Kwena Maphaka was given his IPL debut instead of Luke Wood. Both sides lost their respective opening games going into the game.
