Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, concluded his 10,000-kilometer march on Sunday by criticising the BJP and RSS and saying they lacked the guts to alter the Indian Constitution. Gandhi emphasised the fundamental principles of love and respect in Indian culture while giving a speech at the Gokuldas Tejpal Auditorium, the historic location of the Congress party's foundation in 1985.

Gandhi's Rebuke of the RSS and BJP
Gandhi said, "There is nothing to worry...they (BJP and RSS) do not have the guts to change the Constitution...truth and Hindustan is with all of us," in an address that was critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his administration.

He went on to underline how deeply love and respect are ingrained in Indian culture and linked the current hate to injustice. Gandhi said, "India is the first country which fought the fight for independence with love...," in reflection on his two yatras. Nelson Mandela told me that India and Gandhi Ji had showed us the way to freedom when I visited South Africa."

The Nyay and Bharat Jodo Yatras
The long march by the Congress leader, dubbed the Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, spanned more than 10,000 miles and took place between September 7, 2022, and March 16, 2024. Gandhi emphasised the value of empathy in creating a movement by using this trip to establish a connection with the people and gain an understanding of their struggles.

Taking Care of Governance Concerns
Gandhi denounced the state of Indian administration, drawing attention to the growing economic divide and the injustices that young people, farmers, and labourers must deal with. He drew attention to the inequality in which certain millionaires' loans are forgiven but farmers still have to pay back debt. Gandhi emphasised that, in contrast to the BJP's top-down strategy, the voice of Hindustan—created by asking and listening to the entire public—is their guarantee.

Encounter with Mani Bhavan
Rahul Gandhi visited Mani Bhavan, a significant place in Mahatma Gandhi's movement history, with his sister Priyanka Gandhi in tow. The location held historical significance as the birthplace of the Khilafat, Satyagraha, Swadeshi, Khadi, and Non-Cooperation movements. Tushar Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi's great-grandson, joined the two leaders.

Finally, Rahul Gandhi emphasised the need of empathy, compassion, and respect in creating a better society throughout his march and speech in Mumbai, highlighting his dedication to tackling social inequalities and concerns related to Indian governance.
