Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd (TPEM), a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has officially launched the Punch.ev, a groundbreaking addition to the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market. Packed with advanced features and cutting-edge technology, the Punch.ev is set to redefine the landscape of electric mobility.

The Punch.ev boasts a familiar design, maintaining the distinctive silhouette of its conventional counterpart while embodying an upright stance. This electric vehicle will be showcased at all Tata Motors showrooms authorized for EV sales and Tata.ev stores across the nation. Available in three variants - Smart, Adventure, and Empowered - the Punch.ev caters to diverse preferences and requirements.
Powerful and Efficient Drivetrain
Underpinning the Punch.ev is the advanced Pure EV architecture, known as acti.ev. The vehicle comes with two battery pack options, a 25 kWh pack offering a commendable MIDC range of 315 km, and a higher capacity 35 kWh option with an impressive MIDC range of 421 km. The two available e-Drive options include a 60kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor, producing 114Nm, and a more potent 90kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor with 190Nm of torque.
Fast Charging Capabilities
The Punch.ev Long Range (LR) offers flexibility with two AC fast charger options - 3.3kW and 7.2 kW, suitable for installation at home or the workplace. Additionally, the vehicle supports DC Fast Charging, allowing it to go from 10 per cent to 80 per cent battery capacity in just 56 minutes when connected to any 50 kW DC fast charger.
High-Tech Interior and Connectivity
Inside the cabin, the Punch.ev provides a high-tech experience with dual screens - a 26cm high-definition infotainment display by HARMAN and a 26cm digital cockpit. The vehicle offers seamless connectivity with various voice assistants, including the Native “Hey Tata” assistant with over 200 commands in 6 languages, Alexa, Siri for Apple users, and Google Assistant for Android users.
ZConnect Connected Car Technology
Elevating the connected car experience, the Punch.ev comes equipped with ZConnect Connected Car Technology, featuring smartwatch connectivity as a standard offering. Notable features include a smart charging indicator, bi-functional LEDs, and a distinctive welcome and goodbye signature.
